The United States Player victors of the match between Serbia and Poland will meet the Olympic champions at the Volleyball World Cup News.
The United States Player is back in the FIVB Volleyball Women’s World Championship semifinals. After coming fifth in 2018, the 2014 tournament champions proceeded to the last four of this year’s event on Tuesday in Gliwice, Poland at Volleyball World Cup News. Alexandra ‘Ali’ Frantti led the American offense against the Turkish, finishing with a match-high 18 points. Frantti, 26, had 15 kills, one block, and two aces while hitting at a 42.31% efficiency rate.
Annie Drews added 14 more points, with 11 kills and three blocks, while team captain and outside hitter Kelsey Robinson Cook also reached double figures with 10. (nine kills, one block).

Türkiye dominated the second set, jumping out to a 3-0 lead after to a block by Karakurt of United States Player. The European lead was quickly erased by the Americans, who came back and leveled the game at 3-3 with a kill from Chiaka Ogbogu. With a block from Frantti, the defending Olympic winners took a two-point lead at 9-7 and never looked back at the Volleyball World Cup News. Despite several solid Turkish moments in the set, the Americans were able to maintain their advantage to the finish and even extended it before winning 25-15 on an attacking blunder by Karakurt.
After consecutive kills from Frantti, the USA maintained their momentum in the third set and took a commanding 10-5 lead. The Americans extended their advantage to 18-11 when Robinson Cook stopped Karakurt to conclude the set 25-20 and the match in favor of the Olympic winners.
Italy, the reigning Volleyball Nations League and European champions, also advanced to the semifinals. In Apeldoorn, the Netherlands, the FIVB Volleyball Women’s World Ranking leaders defeated China 3-1 (25-16, 25-22, 13-25, 25-17).
The quarterfinals continue with two more matches later on Tuesday. Brazil and Japan will square off at Apeldoorn at 20:00 local time (18:00 GMT) at the Volleyball World Cup News. The match between reigning champions Serbia and hosts Poland will begin thirty minutes later in Gliwice.
The Italians will meet the winner of the match between the Brazilians and the Japanese in the semifinals on Thursday, while the Americans will face either Serbia or Poland on Wednesday at the Volleyball World Cup News.
